Hvad er nyt?
(What's new?)
Hello Sisters, I just updated our calendar and posted some pictures from Sisterhood events this month and thought I would write a note to go along. It has been a month where we have been able to see many of our sisters in person and I can't convey in words how much it means to once again have some truly personal contact. So wonderful. We had an in-person, outdoors meeting at Gitte's on September 18th. We welcomed our guest, Majken. A business meeting first as usual and then Andrea gave a presentation on Cornelius S.C. Rødder - this I am also unable to fully describe, please refer to the pictures on this website and the PowerPoint presentation Andrea emailed to you a few days ago to get a full appreciation for the subject matter. Andrea does want to emphasize that this is not her personal heritage but an interesting story she discovered. The question is, do we believe that? That she is not related, I mean ;) So much fun. After the presentation we enjoyed great conversation, ate our lunches and yummy desserts compliments of Gitte.
On the 22nd, we crafted at Mindy's - always a great time as well. Everyone are encouraged to come to the craft sessions, you do NOT have to be a professional crafter to join in, there are always simple things to do and let's face it, it's all about being together and having a good time while trying to enable us to fundraise a bit for the treasury. If you check out the pictures, you will note that I did not get any pictures of us actually crafting but we did - I was caught up in drum making and the camera was forgotten, I will get pictures of some of the amazing crafts Sisters have put together next time. Thanks to Mindy, Pia H. and Gitte for coming up with beautiful crafts, easy to go to directions and having supplies at the ready, to Mindy for always hosting. Please note that the next craft sessions are Ocober 6 and 20 - I hear we need folks to price, so please come join in the fun. The Trollheim Craft Fair is November 5 and 6 - please get ready to shop, shop, shop. I hear food will not be served this time so there is room for more vendors - and they are signed up - they have Covid precautions in place. Sounds like a one-stop shopping opportunity. Well, The sky is blue, the sun is out, it is a beautiful fall day on the mountain so I am headed outside. Hope to see every one of you soon. Pia E
